Christina Gabler, Au.D.- Doctor of Audiology
Originally from northern California, I moved to Arizona over 15 years ago. I love the versatility Arizona provides; from the high desert with snow, to low desert with breathtaking sunsets. I have met so many great people and cultivated some amazing friendships here in the Grand Canyon State. My path to Audiology began in childhood from my hearing-impaired grandmother. My grandmother had a cochlear implant that helped her hear after decades of profound hearing loss. Witnessing the joy that device brought to her life was all I needed to be inspired to help others improve their quality of life through better hearing. I attended the University of Arizona and received a Bachelors Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences with a Minor in Deaf Studies. After a couple years as a Speech Pathologist at a local school for special needs children, I decided to return to education for my doctorate in Audiology at A.T. Still University.
Kelly M. Lewis, Au.D.- Doctor of Audiology
I’ve been an audiologist with Advanced Hearing Group since May 2015. I grew up in the St. Louis, Missouri area and moved to Springfield, Missouri for college. I graduated with my B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2011 and with my Doctorate of Audiology in 2015, both from Missouri State University. I completed my residency at an E.N.T. clinic in Tucson, Arizona before moving to the Phoenix area. My husband and I had our first child, our sweet little boy named Madix, in August 2017. My husband has a degree in Computer Programming, but is currently a stay at home dad, which he loves! I look forward to visits back to Missouri to see my family and still root for the St. Louis Cardinals! I love living in the desert and look forward to many adventures to come!
Briana Thornton, Au.D.- Doctor of Audiology
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science and Disorders from Northern Arizona University and completed my Doctorate of Audiology at A.T. Still University. I remain close to my alma mater as an adjunct faculty, and am also a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. When it comes to audiology, I have a special interest in adult and pediatric diagnostics and rehabilitation through the use of prescribed hearing devices carefully selected based on individual necessity. By working closely with my patients, I enjoy creating a plan to improve hearing that fits an individual lifestyle. My interest in pediatric audiology comes from a background in working with children. Previously, I worked at Mesa Public Schools as the district audiologist. Now I call Advanced Hearing Group in Mesa home.
When not in the Mesa office, I enjoy spending time at home with my husband and my two amazing children – also my greatest accomplishment. Whether making crafts or just being outdoors, time with my family is always well spent. Are you in need of a caring, energetic audiologist who will work with you, consider your individual needs and put you first? Come on into the Mesa location!

We want to thank Dr. Johnson and the staff at the South Scottsdale office for their prompt service when I had a problem with one of my hearing aids. They saw me within an hour of my call to their office, and resolved the problem in a few minutes. We appreciate a business that is so helpful and caring.
As a person who was just diagnosed with tinnitus and some hearing loss, I decided to see Dr. Gary Johnson and discuss if hearing aids would be beneficial to me. Dr. Johnson gave me a thorough examination and evaluation and recommended hearing aids for me to help with the hearing loss and help quiet the tinnitus. I have been wearing my new hearing aids for about 2 months now and I am so happy with them.
Dr. Johnson did a wonderful job evaluating what would work for me. He is very pleasant, listens to the needs of the patient, answers all questions and makes you feel very comfortable. I have been helped with the hearing aids for both my tinnitus and hearing loss. Don’t hesitate to go see Dr. Johnson if you are in need of someone who can help with your tinnitus and hearing problems. He is the best in the business.
